Yep. I play Gears & Mass Effect mostly, not a Halo hater, but definately NOT the reason I bought a 360. I bought it for all the *other* games Ive played for the last 2 1/2 years. I like the Halo story, but Im not a Halo MP fan (the only one in North America).

I love the game. I'm working on Brutal difficulty right now. I talked two of my friends into getting it, despite reviews, & they love it too. We've been playing Epidemic MP & it's alot more fun than most of the MP games Ive tried that were not "AAA" titles. Graphix & combat are awesome.
If you like Gears &/or RE4 (like the guy above basically said) do yourself a favor & at least try it out (rental).
Sony & MS are concerned with the bottom line & how they can get more of your hard earned cash.

I would never want to *eliminate* cut scenes, they are heavilly needed in RPG's & storytelling. But I'll agree that when I buy an action game or an FPS, I *personally* do want alot more action than cutscenes. But everyone has different tastes.
However, this artice is stupid as he goes to crazy extremes.

Try either version, they are both nearly identical in the single player mode. I played 2 hours of the campaign last night & an hour of MP with a friend & really enjoyed it. Graphix, the sound fx, the glaive, & combat are all really sweet.
If you only buy AAA games reviewed by someone else you don't even know, then keep waiting, ...& I'll keep playing good games like Dark Sector.

Please, get over your obvious bias. At the very least, they could sue & make a big deal out of it, even if they wouldn't win. But that's not the point, the point is any way you want to spin it fanboy, they were cool about it & that's nice to see.

Cant wait. I know this title probably isnt for everyone, but I love the Tomb Raider series. Hope the gunplay is better than Legend this time around.
I played it last night & really liked it - I mean, come on, Army of Two got like 80% from most reviews & this is a better game, IMHO.
That's why I take reviews with a grain of salt. If it's above 85% on metacritic, it's probably a great game... but even if reviews like this one slam a game & you watch gameplay trailers & it looks interesting to you, you probably want to at least rent it & find out for yourself = Thats what I do.
Dude please, Kane & Lynch doesnt even compare to Dark Sector - I do not think you have played the game...

Played for about 2 hours tonite. I give it a 7.9+ for my personal tastes (love Gears & 3rd person perspective). I like the camera view, the controls arent bad at all, the graphix are really nice, & the story isnt so bad as I keep reading in these reviews. Finishers, graphix, the Glaive, & sound are all great.
Very happy with Dark Sector & I wish there were more good 3rd person shooters like this out there personally. Really fun game too.

But I cant wait for Fallout, I just dont think it'll make GOTY. Bethesda is a very solid developer, & I believe it'll make a 2008 release too, based on the previews I've read.
